The basic threshold for entering green procurement – the environmental label

As we approach the 21st century, green design, production, marketing, and consumption have become a trend. Not only are many international trade organizations actively discussing the impact of green consumption on international trade, but the trend of using trade and economic measures to achieve environmental goals is also becoming increasingly apparent.

Green consumption advocates changing consumption patterns to reduce the use of natural resources, toxic substances, and pollutant emissions, aiming to pursue a better quality of life without compromising the rights of future generations. So how do we change consumption patterns? One of the best educational methods is to fully express the environmental characteristics of a product (or service) using simple yet precise explanations, symbols, or graphics, and appeal to consumers. These explanations, symbols, or graphics are "environmental labels and declarations." In short, "environmental labels and declarations" are advertising activities that aim to achieve environmental protection by gaining consumer recognition and encouraging them to purchase more environmentally friendly products.

You can achieve green consumption, certify, and trust the Ecolabel in one of the simplest ways. It's a trademark awarded to the top 20-30% of products across various categories, after rigorous review, demonstrating the best environmental performance. Currently, over 50 countries worldwide promote the Ecolabel. Taiwan's Ecolabel features a green leaf wrapping a clean, unpolluted Earth, symbolizing the environmental principles of "recyclability, low pollution, and resource conservation." Consumers who replace traditional products with Ecolabel-certified green products can significantly benefit our environment.

Comparison of Environmental Labels and EU RoHS Testing Requirements

The MDL detection limit for PBBs/PBDEs and CP (chlorinated paraffins) should not exceed 5 ppm (MDL = 3.0 ppm). Please provide a list of plastic parts (fill out the form). Sample type	Eight categories of electronic and electrical products	The regulations standardize 104 product categories (including photocopiers, printers, computers, electric fans, refrigerators, monitors, projectors, plastic foam packaging materials, etc., and electronic-related products), and chemical control must be applied to the plastic components of these products.
