The European Union Executive Commission published two additional amendment directives 2012/50EU and 2012/51/EU in the official gazette on December 18, 2012, which will take effect on the 20th. Annex III of the current RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU) has made major revisions to the application exemptions for lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ethers.
