Consequently, ISO published the ISO\/TS 14067 technical specification for carbon footprint in 2013. This provides a method for companies to calculate the carbon footprint of their products and services, allowing them to inventory and analyze greenhouse gas emissions throughout the product lifecycle. This approach helps companies understand the carbon footprint and disclose this information to key stakeholders, enabling them to plan better low-carbon products. After years of development, ISO released ISO 14067:2018, Product carbon footprint \u2014 Requirements and guidelines for greenhouse gas quantification, in January 2018, replacing the ISO\/TS 14067:2013 technical specification.
