Jackson emphasized that Apple's goal is to demonstrate how carbon reduction can be achieved through strategies like using clean energy and recyclable materials in its manufacturing processes, thereby gradually transforming the average business. For example, even though the latest Apple Watch reduces carbon emissions by 78% compared to the previous generation, each Apple Watch still generates approximately 8 kilograms of carbon emissions from transportation and logistics that need to be eliminated.
