The first batch of appliances to be included in the Blue Angel green label certification system includes televisions, DVDs, Blu-ray players, and integrated Hi-Fi systems. Later, cooking appliances such as electric ovens and microwave ovens will be added, and plans are in place to further develop certification systems for over 100 similar products. Unlike China's energy efficiency labeling and the US Energy Star certification system, this system does not rely on voluntary declarations by manufacturers. Instead, a dedicated Blue Angel review committee, following a rigorous evaluation process based on relevant certification standards, awards the Blue Angel green label to eligible products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently, the German Consumer Association and the Federal Environment Agency jointly announced that, to make it easier for consumers to identify and purchase energy-efficient lighting products, companies must use the eco-label with the blue angel logo when packaging energy-efficient lighting products.
