Deca-BDE is a flame retardant primarily used in electronic devices such as televisions, computers, and kitchen appliances for fire protection.

The European Court of Justice upheld the proposal by Denmark and the European Parliament to ban the use of decabromodiphenyl ether (deca-BDE) in electrical and electronic equipment, effectively removing the exemption for deca-BDE previously granted in the EU RoHS Directive. Therefore, from July 1, 2008, electrical and electronic equipment manufactured and sold within the EU must not use this environmentally harmful chemical.

The attached document contains the contents of the European Court of Justice's judgment.

– Reference source: Danish Ministry of the Environment website

– Translated by Plastic Industry Technology Development Center

For reference only, please refer to the original text.

Other related files can be downloaded:
LexUriServ.doc

[15

post-4994","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-eu-rohs
["GET
