The Dutch government believes there are uncertain safety concerns regarding NMP in paints and cleaning agents; furthermore, exposure scenario studies are lacking in relevant risk assessments, making it difficult to quantify the risk. The Netherlands maintains that restriction is a more feasible and practical risk management approach than authorization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are currently five proposed restrictions on substances pending submission. The other four proposed restrictions were submitted by Sweden.
