The Ministry of Environment has revised and issued the "Ministry of Environment's Regulations on the Management of Waste Recycling in Enterprises"

To cooperate with the Executive Yuan's organizational reform and improve the management of industrial waste recycling, the Ministry of Environment has revised the "Executive Yuan Environmental Protection Administration Industrial Waste Recycling Management Regulations" and renamed it "Ministry of Environment Industrial Waste Recycling Management Regulations" to enhance the overall industrial waste recycling operation and management mechanism.

The Ministry of Environment's Resources and Waste Management Agency stated that this regulation applies to businesses for which the Ministry of Environment is the competent authority, including public and private waste treatment facilities, soil or groundwater contaminated sites that extract and treat soil off-site, recyclable waste treatment businesses, and environmental testing services. The key points of this amendment are as follows:

(1) Delete the requirement on the number of copies of application documents for reuse permits to increase the flexibility of administrative operations.

(2) Contracts signed by businesses in accordance with the provisions of these Regulations, as well as records of test results and other information, must be properly preserved for three years to enhance business self-management.

(3) Newly added authorization provisions allow local competent authorities to order recycling organizations to cease improper recycling activities, so as to curb illegal activities in a timely manner.
