The latest EU REACH SVHC recommendation list for 2023

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) published its latest list of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) on February 17, 2023. This list includes two chemicals: 4,4′-dichlorodiphenyl sulfonate (CAS No. 80-07-9) and (2,4,6-trimethylbenzoyl)diphenylphosphine oxide (CAS No. 75980-60-8). These substances were proposed for inclusion in the SVHC candidate list by the Austrian and Swedish governments due to their high persistence, high bioaccumulation, and reproductive toxicity. Public comments on these proposals were open until April 3, 2023. Please refer to the table below for relevant information.
