EU revises RoHS Directive exemption list

2011-11-25

On September 10, 2011, the European Commission published amendments to the exemption list for RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC in the Official Journal. The specific amendments to Directive 2011/534/EU are as follows:

Add 7(c)-IV:

7(c)-IV

Lead in capacitors using PZT as the dielectric ceramic material; these capacitors are used in integrated circuits or discrete semiconductors.

Add item 40:

Cadmium in the photoresistors of analog optocouplers in professional audio equipment

Exemption until December 31, 2013
