EU adds new RoHS2 exclusion list

The European Commission published a new Annex III exclusion item 1(g) in the Official Journal on January 9. The relevant directive will enter into force 20 days after publication.

The mercury content used in single-ended fluorescent tubes must not exceed (per tube):	Non-regulated projects	Exemption Date
1(g)	For general lighting applications (<30W), lifespan ≥20000h: 3.5 mg	Expiry date: December 31, 2017
