EU RoHS Directive Review

The European Commission is currently reviewing the RoHS regulation, but amendments are not expected to take effect until 2012. The expected scope of amendments includes:

New controlled chemical substances items;
Re-examine existing exclusion clauses;
scope;
Definitions (such as the definition of a fixed device);
law enforcement

The review is expected to be completed in 2008, and the revision of the EU RoHS regulations will begin at the end of 2008 or the beginning of 2009.
