Evaluation ranking
Nokia retained the first place with 6.9 points, Sony Ericsson, Toshiba and Samsung tied for second place, closely followed by Fujitsu Siemens and LGE.
Motorola, Microsoft, Dell and Apple do not have any goals or timelines for reducing global warming pollution and carbon dioxide emissions. Only Fujitsu, Philips and Sharp support the goal of reducing 30% greenhouse gas emissions by 2020; HP and Philips have made clearer commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the production process and supply chain. Therefore, in terms of energy consumption and climate change response, , the two companies received the highest scores. Most companies use only small amounts of renewable energy, but Nokia currently has 25% of electricity coming from renewable sources and has pledged to increase this number to 50% by 2010.
On September 9, 2008, Apple released the fourth-generation best-selling product iPod, which claimed to be free of mercury, brominated flame retardants (BFR) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Failed to improve total score to achieve high ranking.
