Japan publishes "Technical Guidelines for Risk Assessment of Prioritized Chemical Substances under the Chemical Submissions Act"
On March 31, 2014, the Japan Independent Administrative Institution Product Evaluation Technology Infrastructure (NITE) announced that it had independently prepared the Priority Assessment Chemical Substances (Priority Assessment Chemical Substances) in Japan's Chemical Substance Control Law (CSCL). , PACs), and other content under preparation is also scheduled to be released in the future.
The guidance document is divided into twelve parts as follows:

– Chapter 4 Estimation of release amount
– Chapter 5 Exposure Assessment – Exposure Scenarios by Release Source
– Chapter 6 Exposure Assessment – Exposure scenarios classified according to use, etc.
– Chapter 7 Exposure Assessment – Exposure scenarios involving the effects of multiple release sources and residual assessment
– Chapter 8 Exposure Scenarios Using Environmental Monitoring Information (under preparation)
– Chapter 9 Operations when conducting exposure assessment based on different traits (under preparation)
– Chapter 10 Risk Calculation, Prioritization, and Summary (under preparation)
As early as 2011, the risk assessment method for priority assessment of chemical substances was reviewed at the three-provincial joint review meeting of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and the Ministry of the Environment, and relevant opinions were issued on September 26, 2011. The technical guidelines are mentioned in the appendix "Basic Ideas for Risk Assessment of Priority Assessment of Chemical Substances under the Chemical Submissions Law" of the call for submissions. According to the annual work plan of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, NITE has been designated to undertake the preparation of relevant technical guidelines.
