Japanese product carbon footprint website

Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) began planning its domestic product carbon footprint system architecture in 2008, and with the assistance of various relevant government departments, launched a pilot project for product carbon footprints in April 2009.

The Japanese government officially launched its English-language website on product carbon footprint on February 1, 2010. The URL is: http://www.cfp-japan.jp/english/

In addition to viewing the current carbon labeling charts for Japanese products, the website also provides information on the current carbon labeling system. Furthermore, it lists the approved product category rules/PCRs (21 rules published on the website) and the products that have been labeled with carbon labels (8 products listed on the website).
