The RAPEX Report-2021-51 of December 24, 2021, revealed multiple product violations of Annex XVII of the REACH Regulation (Regulation (EU) 1907/2006) and the POPs Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2019/2021), including electronic and electrical products such as headphones and massagers. The disclosed information includes: product name, violation of regulations, type of hazardous substances and components with excessive concentrations of hazardous substances. The main violations are plastic and rubber components in each product and solder on printed circuit boards. Please refer to the table below for the details of the announced violation cases:

As we are about to enter 2022, SGS has compiled the RAPEX notification records of violations of REACH Annex XVII and POPs regulations from August 1, 2021 to December 24, 2021 (as shown in the figure); it can be observed from the statistical chart that the number of products reported by EU member states for violations gradually increases as time approaches the end of 2021. This result seems to imply that the warm-up race for the 2022 EU Annual Audit Plan (ECHA/NR/20/24) has started early. SGS recommends that before exporting the company's products to the European market, be sure to pay attention to whether the products comply with the relevant requirements of EU regulations.
