The UK government has established an advisory group for WEEE.
Established in December 2007, the UK WEEE Advisory Body (WAB) primarily advises the government on the implementation of WEEE regulations. Recently, the WEEE Advisory Body also launched a work plan to assess the WEEE system. The WEEE Advisory Body comprises 13 WEEE experts from various industries.

The WEEE Advisory Group will be further subdivided into two groups to assess the UK WEEE system, individual manufacturer responsibility, reuse, business-to-business (B2B) WEEE, and the European Commission's review. The WEEE Advisory Group will report its recommendations directly to the UK Department for Business, Enterprise and Reform (BERR). The WEEE Advisory Group is also expected to publish an annual report in April starting in 2009, summarizing its main work, progress, and other developments.
