EU regulatory updates

Two new entries have been added to the prohibited and restricted use list of REACH Annex 17: Entry 80 (DMAC) and Entry 81 (NEP) have been added to Regulation 2025/1090, covering the electronics, chemical and coatings industries.
The REACH SVHC candidate list continues to expand: 9 substances of very high concern were added from December 2024 to June 2025, bringing the total to 250.
POPs Regulation Update: New and proposed restrictions on UV-328, Dechlorane Plus, PFOA, PFOS, MCCPs, etc., reshaping product material selection.

California Proposition 65 Update

Vinyl acetate is included in the list of carcinogens: effective from January 17, 2025, businesses must complete warning labels and information disclosure within one year.

VOC regulations in mainland China are tightening

The new version of the GB30981-2025 national mandatory standard (consisting of two parts) has been released, including stricter VOC and new SVOC content limits for industrial coatings products, and will be implemented from June 1, 2026.
