ECHA releases the 12th batch of list of substances of high concern

No.13/2014

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) announced on December 17, 2014, the following six substances of very high concern (SVHCs) have been added: Cadmium fluoride; Cadmium sulfate; 2-[2-hydroxy-3',5'-di-tert-butylphenyl]benzotriazole (UV absorber 320); 2-(2'-hydroxy-3',5'-di-tert-pentylphenyl)benzotriazole (UV absorber 328); Di-n-octyl-bis(2-ethylhexylthioacetate)tin; The reaction product of di-n-octyl-bis(2-ethylhexylthioacetate)tin and monooctyl-tris(2-ethylhexylthioacetate)tin. To date, the REACH SVHC candidate list has reached 161 substances. In addition, DEHP's properties have been changed to EDCs (causing endocrine disruption), which already include reproductive toxicity.
