ECHA announces one SVHC substance

On May 15, 2024, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) added perfluorotripropylamine to its intended SVHC list. The list is currently in the "proposer preparation of the dossier on the substance" phase, with submission expected before August 1, 2024. ECHA will subsequently launch a public consultation on the substance, during which all stakeholders can submit feedback to ECHA. ECHA will review the public feedback and, if approved, the substance is expected to be officially added to the SVHC Candidate List in December 2024.

REACH regulations stipulate that SVHC must be notified within 6 months after being included in the candidate list. This puts companies under a tight timeframe. We recommend that companies pay attention to the risks of substances contained in R&D, procurement, and other links as soon as possible, and respond as soon as possible.
