ECHA adds six new substances of high concern

2014-07-03

The Member State Committee (MSC) of the European Union unanimously approved the addition of six substances to the candidate list of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs); these six substances have also been added to the candidate list for authorization. To date, the REACH Regulation contains 144 SVHCs.

The six substances of very high concern are as follows:

6	Branched or linear ethoxylated nonylphenol, including all independent isomers containing a 9-carbon alkyl chain and all UVCB substances containing a linear or branched 9-carbon alkyl chain.	–	–
