EU REACH 27th Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) Candidate List Update

ECHA announced on March 4, 2022 that one new substance has been added to the 27th batch of SVHC candidate list

On March 4, 2022, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) announced on its official website the addition of one new substance to the 27th batch of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) Candidate List.

There are currently 224 items on the Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern. This new addition is in line with the 27th batch of substances of very high concern announced by ECHA at the beginning of this year.

N-Methylol Acrylamide Properties

N-Methylolacrylamide (CAS No. 924-42-5) has been added to the SVHC Candidate List due to its carcinogenic and mutagenic properties. N-Methylolacrylamide is primarily used as a monomer and in copolymers with fluoroalkyl acrylates to manufacture other chemicals, textiles, leather, fur, paints, and coatings.
