IEC 62321 Ed.1 is about to be officially released.NO.37/2008

The final draft of the international standard IEC 111/116/FDIS, after two months of voting (from August 1, 2008 to October 3, 2008), was published on its official website on October 14, 2008, with the results announced.

111/116/FDIS
The main purpose of the vote was to determine whether to approve the publication of the Final Draft International Standard (FDIS) as an international standard. The voting results are summarized below:

P-member approval: 25 = 100%>= 67%pass
Total votes: 29Total votes against: 0 = 0%<= 25%pass
Final decision  pass

With the exception of Greece, Israel, Poland, and Portugal, all other countries voted in favor. The vote resulted in approval of the final draft of the international standard as an international standard, IEC 62321 Ed.1. This international standard will soon be officially released, although the publication date is yet to be determined. SGS will closely monitor the latest developments. In addition to being accredited by the Taiwan Accreditation Foundation (TAF) according to ISO 17025 standards, SGS is also accredited by the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection, Ministry of Economic Affairs, as a "Designated Laboratory for Hazardous Substance Testing." SGS can provide IEC 62321 Ed1 testing methods to meet the requirements of the EU RoHS Directive, according to customer needs.
