ECHA delays disclosure of SCIP database information

2025-07-14

On March 18, ECHA issued a news release stating that due to technical issues, it would take more time to disclose the SCIP notification information received from the industry on the ECHA website.

ECHA has also promised to publish the disclosure time as soon as possible so that information about hazardous substances in these products can be transparently disclosed to consumers and waste handlers.

The news also mentioned the addition of several new FAQs to the SCIP FAQ, and that the SCIP database had received over 7.5 million notifications from 3,600 companies as of mid-March.
