The Korean government speeds up the implementation of Korea RoHS
Following the passage of the Act on the Recycling of Electrical and Electronic Equipment and Vehicles (RoHS), the Enforcement Ordinance, and the Enforcement Regulation in South Korea at the end of 2007, the South Korean government accelerated the development of its implementation methods. By the end of January 2008, the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Commerce, Trade, Industry and Energy of South Korea had announced five implementation methods, as well as legally binding and mandatory requirements that comply with RoHS.
The electronic framework for the Eco-assurance System, which manages electrical and electronic equipment and vehicles, is also operational. The full name of this system is Electrical and Electronic Equipment and Vehicle Eco-Assurance System.
